Perspective 03

What responsible nutrition-product partnerships require.

A productive partnership conversation begins with role clarity, evidence, and mutual respect for commercial and technical realities.

In nutrition products, goodwill alone cannot replace a shared understanding of product requirements, quality systems, buyer needs, payment, regulatory responsibilities, and risk. Early conversations should make it easier for both parties to assess a fit.

Be clear about the opportunity.

Partners should understand the proposed application, geography, expected role, decision timing, and what is known versus still being validated. NBB does not present exploratory discussions as endorsement, procurement, or commercial commitments.

Protect sensitive information.

Specifications, supply terms, capacity, cost, and customer information can be commercially sensitive. Appropriate confidentiality arrangements and clear terms should precede detailed exchanges.

Agree the next evidence step.

A useful early conversation identifies what needs confirmation next: product fit, technical feasibility, buyer requirements, applicable regulations, manufacturing capability, logistics, or transaction controls.
